Panorama 15, Interstate 35 13
PANORA — A third-quarter rally fell short as Interstate 35 dropped its second consecutive game after a 15-13 decision against Panorama Friday.
The Panthers (3-0 overall) took a 15-0 first-half lead on rushing touchdowns from Luke South in the first quarter and Domonic Walker in the second. Panorama led 8-0 after Zach Rizutti ran for a 2-point conversion. Kyle Cogil’s extra-point kick made it 15-0 before halftime.
The Roadrunners (1-2) used an explosive 77-yard touchdown run from Jack Smith in the third quarter to trim their deficit. A PAT kick from Carter Bussanmas made it a 15-7 margin.
A 1-yard run from Interstate 35 quarterback Joey Bregar cut Panorama’s lead to 15-13 in the third quarter, but the Panthers remained in front after stopping a 2-point conversion run attempt.
Smith led the Roadrunners’ rushing attack with 95 yards on 12 carries while Bregar added 33 yards on 13 carries.
Bregar completed 7 of 11 passes for 61 yards, but was intercepted three times. Logan Cassady and Jace Hildebrand each caught two passes from Bregar.
Bregar and Cristian Roquet had nine tackles apiece to lead Interstate 35, which received 8 1/2 stops from Caleb Hobart and a fumble recovery from Jace Bedwell. Hobart and Sam Vonnahme combined on a sack.

Lamoni 64, Murray 6
MURRAY — Jace Rodecker caught a 29-yard touchdown from Colton Siefkas as Murry fell to Lamoni 64-6 Friday.
Siefkas completed 5 of 8 passes for 53 yards while Rodecker made two receptions for 50 yards. Chance Lecy caught two passes for minus-5 yards.
Lamoni took away the Mustangs’ run game, limiting Murray to 1 yard rushing on 36 carries.
Rodecker led the Murray defense with five tackles.
