Since the American flag is an important symbol we should honor it with pride for our great country. Have you ever wondered how we got the design of the American flag? The pledge is part of our everyday life but have you ever thought about the meaning? Betsy Ross designed the first flag of the United States of America. The pledge is recited every day at schools around America. I think every person who lives in America should feel free when they see this great symbol.

We all recite the pledge every day but not many of us realize the meaning. When we say the pledge we make a promise to our great country. Saying we care for the individuals and men who fight for this country. Under God, we trust in God, we have freedon of religion. We are free we had won our independence from the British government in the Revolutionary War. So now you know the meaning. Remeber it every time you say the pledge.
