Just like that FFA Week is over. The Murray FFA Chapter has had a fantastic week filled with fun games, laughter, giving, and agriculture education. During advisory, classes gathered in our gymnasium to watch activities such as egg carry, apple bobbing, feed sack carry, lip sync, pig herding, and so much more. This year our community service project was “Paws For Love,” and we were able to collect items to donate to the Creston Animal Rescue Effort and the Clarke County Animal Shelter. We want to thank everyone who participated; we are always grateful for our student and community support. Our annual Farmer’s breakfast brought in roughly 50 people. We would like to congratulate our sweetheart king, Wyatt Myers, and our queen, Delia Mozqueda. Seven members travelled to Indianola High School on Saturday, March 2 to compete at District FFA Convention. Kayla Wookey received a silver in Ag Broadcasting, Britta Callstrom received a Bronze on her Reporter’s Scrapbook, and Kegan Johnson received a Gold and is an Alternate to State with his Secretary’s Book. Ally Waske and Bailey Frederick served as Delegates. Other members who attended to learn about competitions and develop their leadership skills were: Daniel Little, Brooke Shannon, and Hannah Paschke. Britta Callstrom was also recognized for receiving an Academic Achievement Award
